God offers the best shelter in moments of struggle, grief

I love the idea of lean-tos

The journey of the human spirit can at times become long and tiring. We can experience long stretches of grief and letting go, dark moments that steal the energy from our spirits. At these times we need spiritual lean-tos, places where we can go to find rest and shelter from the storms of life. Our lean-tos can be anyone or anything that brings us a sense of hope, a pause from the pain, a bit of strength to sustain us, a little vision for guidance, or a touch of happiness. Lean-tos are not permanent shelters. They don't bring an end to the struggles in our lives, but they do provide us with moments of much needed rest and shelter.

God offers the best shelter in moments of struggle, grief

I'm going to catch it for this one...everytime this subject comes up, I have to agree and then add that being supported by God does not mean God does the work for you. I see way too many people getting stuck in their grief because they keep trying to hand the whole thing over to God. To my way of thinking, God gave you the grief so you could heal, and God walks with you every step of the way as you go through it.
